Atta girl

I don't know if you've noticed (like I have) that the movie "9 to 5" seems to be re-running a lot on TV in the last few months. Today's success comes from a great supporting actress in the film.

Peggy Pope - Sent: 7/11/2006 Received: 8/11/06. Peggy Pope is a great character actress probably best remembered for playing Margaret Foster, the "ole lush" (as Mr. Hart referred to her) in the movie "9 to 5". Peggy has guest starred on many TV shows I've enjoyed including "Soap", "Golden Girls" and "Kate & Allie". The photo she sent is her current headshot which shows she still looks the same as she did 20 years ago!

This goes back to your post about Judy Davis' autograph request being "RTS" back to you. What mailing address did you use?

Anonymous,

The Judy Davis RTS came from her agent at ICM in Beverly Hills, CA. Do you have any address to suggest where I might be able to reach her at? I would really like to get a success from her.

Jim,

"Does Violet know about this"? "No she's down at Charley's getting drunk". Atta girl!

If you sent it in care of her agent (specifically naming her agent Martha Luttrell), I'm surprised it was returned unopened. The ICM address is the one I'd have used myself. As far as I know, Judy is still repped by ICM. Unless, she changed agencies since doing A Little Thing Called Murder or perhaps she's directed the agency not to handle any fan mail. I'm under the impression she doesn't sign autographs and doesn't keep preprint photos either to give out because it goes against everything about fame and celebrity that she loathes. She's not the typical actor who likes the spotlight on her (rarely does interviews or shows up to awards shows). She does her job and that's about it. If you still want to try, you might have a chance if you send it to the filming location of a future film of hers. She last was in Vancouver doing Masters of Science Fiction.

Thanks for the comment. Martha was the agent name I used on the envelope. I guess via venue is the only option right now. If you get a filming address would you please share it with me? I've read about her views towards fame, but no autograph is impossible. Without trying I definately won't get a success.

Thanks again for posting.

You might try sending a letter c/o the production company putting out "Marie Antoinette" this October. You could also try c/o Sony Pictures which is distributing the film. It's hit-or-miss though with each route a potential RTS. I think Coppola's production company is the better choice to try.
