Monthly recap: January 2007

I think 'Con artist" was a good posting for my last success on Matthew McConaughey. Upon further comparison the inscription and signature is either an autopen or pre print with someone filling in the personalization. I have seen celebs fill in the personalization themselves (remember the Josh Holloway instance) but for now I'm not counting this one as an authentic success. Lets move on now to this month's recap:

'Con' artist

The mail returns today after the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with a success for me!

Matthew McConaughey - Sent: 11/1/06 Received: 1/16/07. I was very excited to get this success as I've enjoyed a lot of Matthew's films including "Failure To Launch" and "How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days". Ironically "Wedding Planner" (one of his bigger movies) is a film I haven't seen yet. (I guess I need to rent that soon). Matthew sent me this great personalized photo plus a "J.K. Livin" sticker and a half sheet filmography/bio fact sheet. (J.K. stands for "just keep"). Interestingly enough Matthew was the lead choice to play the lead role in James Cameron's film "Titanic".

Good Times! My first autograph of 2007

Here's my first autograph success received in 2007. (Although it was signed at the end of 2006).

BernNadette Stanis - Sent: 5/12/2006 Received: 1/5/07. In the last few months I've watched some TV Land re runs of "Good Times", a show I really enjoyed when I was young. Today's success comes from BerNadette Stanis who played "Thelma" on the show. She sent me this current head shot photo (look at that face - she looks the same!) and a handwritten letter. This success also joins the autographs of Ralph Carter and Jimmie Walker who I have that were also in the TV series.
