One more to give thanks for this month

It's nice to wrap up the month with one final success.

William Petersen - Sent: 10/31/2006 Received: 11/30/06. I was going through my stack of unsigned photos (thanks again Joey) and found this one from the movie "Hard Promises". I looked William Petersen up and he does sign through the mail, so bing bang boom here's today's success. I wrote to William at the "CSI" set address in California.

I C Peter Gallagher

After a two great In-Person autographs last night, I score a TTM today.

Peter Gallagher - Sent: 10/31/2006 Received: 11/25/06. If you watch "The OC" you know Peter Gallagher who plays "Sandy Cohen" on the show. His other credits include "American Beauty", "Sex, Lies and Videotape" and the TV movie version of "Titanic". I sent Peter a photo but he didn't sign (or return it). He did send his own photo though, and although not personalized to my name, it does have a real autograph on it.

Every 'autograph' a memory

This past evening I went to the "Locked & Loaded" tour starring Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert & The Randy Rogers Band. I had the chance to meet two of the artists and add to my autograph collection.

Dierks Bentley - In Person: 11/24/06. I've seen Dierks in concert before but I have to say "WOW"! This was the best show I've seen him do yet. He's really grown as an entertainer. We had a great visit backstage before his show where he signed this photo for me. His new song "Long Trip Alone" may be my favorite song of his yet.

Miranda Lambert - In Person: 11/24/06. Miranda's big break came on season one of "Nashville Star". She ended up the runner up for the season and earned a recording deal with Sony anyway. Like Dierks she's really grown as an entertainer. She was friendly backstage and even looks better than her photos show. "Kerosene" is not only a great song by Miranda but an awesome music video.

Ed head

In early 2005 Jessica Lange was doing a play in New York so I purchased a press kit from the movie "Sweet Dreams". I never did get a response from her, but luckily that press kit has two great photos of Ed Harris in it, which today turned out to become successes for me.

Ed Harris - Sent: 9/27/06 Received: 11/18/06. I wrote to Ed Harris at a play he was doing in New York called "The Wrecks". Given the fact that the play recently ended and he's known for sending out 'pre-prints' I didn't put much stock into this coming back. But how wrong I was (and happy that I was wrong). He signed both photos and the index card I sent him - personalizing all three. His film credits include "A Beautiful Mind", "The Right Stuff", "The Abyss", "Apollo 13" and "Sweet Dreams".

Legendary mail

If you've ever looked at my blog and thought "I don't know who that is", rest assured you won't with today's success.

Clint Eastwood - Sent: 8/29/06 Received: 11/15/06. What can I say about this one? LEGEND. I could go on and list a ton of movies or roles he's played but the man is Clint Eastwood! 'Nuff said. Instead I'll tell you I've looked at several 'In-Person' successes and this signature seems to match them. How cool is that someone like Clint Eastwood, who does not need to respond to fan mail does.

Mantegna Mail

Just an update to my previous success on Victoria Principal. I have seen a scan result from another user who received the same photo I did - it's definitely a pre-print. I have gone back in my monthly recap and made the appropriate adjustment. Now on to new mail.

Joe Mantegna - Sent: 10/31/2006 Received: 11/13/2006. You might know Joe Mantegna as the voice of "Fat Tony" on "The Simpsons" or maybe you remember him from "Joan Of Arcadia" where he played "Will Girardi". I myself am more familiar with his appearances on the 4th season of "Soap" (playing "Juan One"). Joe signed the photo I sent in a two week turn around.

Some en-'Channing' mail

It's a odd numbers game in today's mail. I sent this out on the 11th day of the 4th month and received it back on the 4th day of the 11th month.

Channing Tatum - Sent: 4/11/06 Received: 11/4/06. Today's success comes from model turned actor Channing Tatum. His acting credits include "Coach Carter", "She's The Man" and "Step Up". He also was featured in a series of popular Mt. Dew commercials and can be seen in Ricky Martin's video "She Bangs". This was a very cool success for me to get because first of all it was an address I researched out myself (which paid off) and secondly because Channing and I have the same birthday. He provided the photo, which I think is from "She's The Man".
